Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

Thermostatic Expansion Valves

Thermostatic Expansion Valves are available as parts programme, i.e. with separate valve body and orifice assemblies, or as complete valves (fixed orifice). The category also contains Thermostatic Injection Valves.

Pressure Controls and Thermostats

The range of pressure controls and thermostats cover a lot af applications within refrigeration and air conditioning. The pressure controls and thermostats are in two categories KP as standard and RT for heavy duty purposes. The controls can be delivered for fluorinated refrigerent as well as ammonia.

Compressors

The Danfoss compressor range goes from small direct current hermetic compressors for mobile applications up to large scroll compressors for commercial air conditioning or industrial applications. Special versions, such as energy optimized compressors, variable speed compressors and compressors for solar applications are available. The range covers all common HFC, HCFC and CFC refrigerants as well as hydro-carbons for the smaller models. Danfoss compressors are used in numerous applications such as white goods, mobile refrigeration, light commercial refrigeration, commercial refrigeration and air conditioning.

ICF, Industrial Refrigeration Control Solutions

The ICF control solution can substitute a series of conventional mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronically operated valves, thereby providing a number of advantages in the design phase of a refrigeration plant as well as in the installation, service and maintenance. ICF control solutions consist of valve housing plus a maximum of four or six function modules.

Electronically Operated Valves

Electronically operated valves for refrigeration systems are used in conjunction with electronic controls, typically from the Danfoss range of ADAP-KOOL® controllers. The range consists of electronically operated expansion valves for refrigeration systems with fluorinated refrigerants and ammonia (R717), evaporating pressure valves, and evaporating pressure pilot valves that enable electronic and remote operation of a PM main valve.

Energy Recovery Device | iSave 21 plus and iSave 40

The iSave 21 Plus and iSave 40 consists of an
isobaric pressure exchanger, a high-pressure positive displacement booster pump and an electric motor.
The isobaric pressure exchangers are based on the technology used in the Danfoss APP pumps, and the high-pressure booster pumps are based
on the vane pump principle enabling a very light and compact design. The design of iSave 21 Plus and iSave 40 ensures lubrication of the moving
parts by the fluid itself.
All parts included in the iSave 21 Plus and iSave 40 are designed to provide long service life with a constant high efficiency and minimum service
required.
The vane pumps are fixed displacement pumps in which the flow is proportional to the number of revolutions of the driving shaft – enabling flow
control.
The electric motor provides speed control of both the pressure exchanger and the high-pressure booster pump on the same shaft
– preventing overspin/overflushing.
The iSaves need a VFD that allows the motor to apply a constant torque from low speed to maximum speed.
The sectional drawings below illustrate the main components of the iSave 21 Plus and iSave 40, respectively

Pressure Switches

BCP, Pressure controller/ Pressure limiter

The BCP type is a series of dedicated pressure switches for safety and pressure monitoring of steam and hot water boilers. The BCP incorporates a single-pole changeover microswitch where the contact position depends on the pressure in the connection port and the range set value. For installations, in which operation is particularly critical for safety reason, the use of fail-safe control is recommended.

RT, Pressure switches

RT switches are used in general industrial and marine sectors. The RT single pressure switches series consist of a variety of ordinary controls including neutral zone pressure switches, safety pressure switches for steam boiler plant, and gold plated fail-safe controls for applications in which safety or economical consequences are critical factors.

RT, Pressure switches, TÜV approved for steam plant

TÜV appoved RT switches are used in steam plant. The RT single pressure switches series consist of a variety of ordinary controls including neutral zone pressure switches, safety pressure switches for steam boiler plant, and gold plated fail-safe controls for applications in which safety or economical consequences are critical factors. RT switches have been in service for more than 60 years.
